BandMatch Privacy Policy

We want to make it clear to you how and why UnsignedFM, LLC ("BandMatch", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our BandMatch websites, mobile applications, and other online products and services (collectively the "Services") or any communication with us.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide to Us
When you use our Services, we collect the following information that you provide directly to us:
- Account information. In order to create an account with us, you must provide a name (either real or fictitious) and email address.
- Your submitted content. We store your submitted song details, including thumbnails, tags, and descriptions. We also store text content you submit, including comments, comment replies, content reports, and communication with BandMatch staff.
- Your actions. We log account actions that you take, such as submitting content, voting, and reporting other users' content.
Information We Collect Automatically
Access logs. We log information when you access or use our services, such as IP address, user-agent, browser type, operating system, referral headers, and request URLs. IP addresses associated with account creation, moderator actions, and account security are not deleted, but all other logged information is deleted from our servers after 100 days.
Cookies and browser storage. Our web applications use cookies in order to implement account functionality, as well as to personalize content and advertisements. Please see the "Your Choices" section below to learn how to disable cookies.
How We Use Information About You
We use information about you to do the following:
- Provide, improve, and maintain our Services
- Protect the safety and security of BandMatch and BandMatch users. This includes preventing spam and fraud, as well as enforcing our Terms of Service
- Sending updates, security alerts, invoices, and other administrative messages
- Monitor and analyze usage trends and statistics about our Services
- Provide personalized content, advertisements, and features for users. See "Your Choices" below to learn how to control the kinds of advertisements you experience on our Services
- How Information About You Is Shared
- Certain information may be shared with other users or the public when you use our services:
Content you submit, such as images, audio, and your public profile are visible to other users of our Services.
We do not share, sell, or provide personal information to third parties, except for in the following circumstances:
- To comply with the law. We may share information in response to a request for information if we believe disclosing it is required by any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental. This includes, but is not limited to security or law enforcement requirements.
- Emergencies. We may share information if we believe it is necessary to prevent imminent and serious bodily injury to a person.
- With your consent. We may share information if you give us written consent to do so.
- Aggregate or anonymous information. We may share information that is aggregate or made anonymous in a way that it cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
Advertising Partners
We may partner with third party advertisers. Third party advertisers may collect information sent by your computer or browser, such as IP addresses, unique identifiers and device information.
BandMatch does not provide any account information to third party advertisers. BandMatch cookies are not accessible by third party advertisers, and BandMatch cannot access the cookies of third party advertisers.
BandMatch may use Google AdSense in order to display advertisements. Google AdSense uses a cookie when you visit BandMatch websites or any Google partner's website. Please take note of the following in regards to cookies and our advertising partners:
- Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to your website or other websites
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to your users based on their visit to your sites and/or other sites on the Internet
- Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Adsense Settings
Your Choices
Deleting Your Account or Content
You may delete your account at any time by visiting your account settings. You can delete your submitted content at any time by using the controls visible on your content. We may retain copies of your deleted content if required by law or needed for legitimate business purposes.
Controlling Cookie Usage
You can use your browser to disable all cookies or to disable third party cookies. This will likely break some functionality of our Services.
